Breast cancer is the most common form of the deadly disease which afflicts millions every year. While one can only imagine the trauma the patients undergo, the family of the victim also experiences much grief. When Gerdi McKenna received the news that her mammography results came out positive for breast cancer, she was devastated. The powerful medicines used in chemotherapy causes hair loss and Gerdi had to endure the same fate. But her family members and friends decided to do something special for Gerdi. When Gerdi’s friend sent out an email with the proposal of organizing a photo shoot in her honor, many of their friends and even Gerdi’s family members were quite enthusiastic about it.
Gerdi’s sister was all teary-eyed and said “If I can do just a little bit for her to feel better, I will do it with Love.”
Everyone was nervous about the outcome of their endeavors but in their hearts they knew it was the right thing to do.
The entire photo shoot was a surprise for Gerdi and her response when she found out about the selfless act was invaluable.
